Obsession of the Week

It's official. I am obsessed with exercise. I cannot stop thinking about exercising, reading about exercising, or just in general exercising. You would think that with all this amount of obsession I would be as thin as a rail....but so not true.

I have dropped down another dress size, but the weight is not melting off of me. I may go and ask this one chick at the gym who does metobolic testing if she could test me. It then gives you a list of things that are best foods for your metobolism....although the thought of eating broccoli and brussel sprouts are so not appealing.

I have changed my eating habits dramatically however, where I don't consume mass quantites of sugar nor am I eating processed foods. I have been making all my meals, as well as only buying organic food. This has been an expensive transition. No wonder we are such a fat society as all the cheap foods are bad for you.

However, I am determined this year to be super fit. I did go climbing the other week and was quite impressed with my stamina a strength after going to the gym and working out with a trainer. It has so made such a difference.

I purchased a weighted vest the other week too and when I walk the dogs I wear a 10 pound vest. It goes up to 20 pounds, but at the moment walking for about a mile (which on the way back is up hill) with a weighted vest is kinda tiring, so the 20 pounds will come later I am sure.

I realized I used to be this obsessed with exercising 20 years ago. That would make sense why I was an aerobic instructor back then.

And to add to my obsession I am going to L.A. this weekend, and I made sure the hotel I am staying at had a nice gym.....yeah, I even paid extra so there was a nice gym.... I think I am turning psycho....oh yeah, I already am. Thats ok then.

Weight vest...why not just gain 20 lbs? ;)

Remember ankle weights? Those were goofy.

Yes! I so remember those Ankle weights, and I so had a pair or two. I also had the wrist weights. Your idea of gaining 20 pounds would be so much more enjoyable, I do agree, however, not so attractive as the weighted vest that also can be used as an FBI or SWAT team vest!!!

nice to see you back and blogging! love the pic of your dogs and love the pic of you. great eyebrow and love the red streaks in your hair!

as far as being obsessed w/ working out and eating right.. sounds like the right kind of obsession. i've started eating healthier but am having a really hard time giving up the sweets! i just love them. it's a little harder to eat healthier here because you cant get all the products you can get in the states, but since having the baby, i have cut down on the processed food and anything w/ artificial color and taste, we do w/out.

the weight vest... that's fabulous. can imagine how that feels when you take it off. my sister puts one of those on her dog to tire him out.

again... what a great pic of your dogs. they all look so serious!!

Hey SJ and Um Naief yes the dogs were waiting for me to throw the ball for them, otherwise they wouldn't have posed like that. !!
They are only that good when they want something!
